VEIL is a switchable smart film applied to the inside of your vehicle's existing windows. With the touch of a button it changes between a refined light tint and a deep, private finish that hides the cabin from view.

The film is built with thin conductive layers that respond to a gentle, low-voltage current. Switching the current changes how the film transmits light — taking the glass from its light-tint mode to its private mode in seconds.

It's automatic. When the car is off, every VEIL window is private — nobody can see inside. When you start the car, the windows switch to clear (a refined light tint) on their own.

While the car is on, use the button — remote, switch or smartphone — to dim the windows or take them darker, all the way to full privacy, whenever you want.

Not quite. Traditional tint is fixed at one shade forever. VEIL keeps a tasteful medium tint in its clear mode — similar to a quality everyday tint — and deepens to full privacy whenever you choose. You get an open cabin and total privacy from the same glass.

In clear mode VEIL is not completely transparent — it retains a light-to-medium tint, so you can see in and out comfortably while the cabin still looks refined. Ask us about the exact light-transmission rating for your vehicle.

The windows go fully private. VEIL is private by default and only turns clear when it receives power from the running vehicle — so a parked car always keeps its cabin, passengers and belongings out of sight. If the vehicle ever loses power, the glass simply stays private.

Privacy mode is designed to block the view in, and it significantly reduces the view out. That's why it's intended for parked, chauffeured or rear-passenger use — never for the driver's view while driving.

Window tint laws vary by state, and they apply to VEIL in both modes. In California, for example, the windshield and front side windows must let through at least 70% of light while driving — and because VEIL keeps a medium tint even in clear mode, we generally recommend it for rear side windows, rear quarter glass and the rear window, where California allows darker tint when the vehicle has dual side mirrors.

In privacy mode, faces, details and belongings are not visible from outside. With bright interior lights on at night, some light may show through the glass.

The film's layered construction adheres to the glass and helps hold fragments together if a window is broken, adding a layer of security. It is not a substitute for armored or laminated security glass.

Yes. VEIL runs on a low-voltage system with a certified power supply, installed and tested by trained technicians.

Rear side windows, rear quarter glass and, on many vehicles, the rear window. Front side windows are possible on some vehicles but are subject to state tint law (see above). The windshield is not a candidate.

Yes. Our installers route the low-voltage connections so your windows continue to operate normally. Fit varies by vehicle, which is why we confirm details during your consultation.

We strongly recommend professional installation by a certified technician — it protects the finish, the wiring and your warranty. Timing depends on the vehicle and number of windows; we'll give you an estimate when we confirm your order. If you have your own installer, we'll share the installation guide with them.

No. When the car is off, VEIL has no connection to electricity at all and draws zero power — it is private by default. It only uses a small amount of power while the car is running and the windows are clear or dimmed.

Use a soft microfiber cloth and a mild, ammonia-free glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads and razor blades on the film side. A scratch-resistant hard coat protects the surface for everyday use.

Yes. Every piece of VEIL film carries a serial number for authenticity and warranty coverage. Full warranty terms are provided with your installation.
